Your journey begins in Negombo, a coastal town known for its serene beaches and colonial history. After checking into your hotel, relax and prepare for the spiritual adventure ahead. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the beach or explore the vibrant streets of Negombo.

Today, you will visit two significant temples linked to Lord Rama’s journey: Munneswaram Temple, where Rama prayed to Lord Shiva after his battle with Ravana, and Manavari Temple, where Rama installed the first Shiva Lingam in Sri Lanka. After seeking blessings, continue to Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka, where you will take a short city tour and immerse yourself in its rich cultural heritage.

The pilgrimage continues as you travel to Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, believed to have searched for Seetha Devi in these hills. Next, visit the Seetha Amman Kovil, a sacred site where Seetha was held captive by Ravana. This temple, located in a serene valley, is a place of immense spiritual significance for Ramayana devotees. Spend the night in the cool climate of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England.”

Visit Divurumpola, the site where Seetha underwent the Agni Pariksha (trial by fire) to prove her purity. Then, explore Gayathri Pedam, a temple believed to be the place where King Ravana’s son performed his prayers. Absorb the spiritual energy of these sacred sites before retiring for the night in Bandarawela.

Today’s journey takes you through Ella, where you will visit the Ravana Falls and Ravana Caves, believed to be the locations where Seetha was hidden by Ravana. The breathtaking waterfall and mystical caves add a mythical charm to the trail. Continue towards Kataragama, one of the most revered religious sites in Sri Lanka, where Lord Skanda (Murugan) is worshipped.

Begin your day with a visit to the Kataragama Temple, a place of great spiritual significance. Then, head towards the southern coast to explore Ussangoda, an area believed to have been burned by Hanuman’s tail during his search for Seetha. In Galle, visit Rumassala, associated with the legendary Sanjeevani herb that Hanuman brought from the Himalayas. Further along the journey, stop at Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa before reaching Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo, the only temple in Sri Lanka dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
